For the longest time I couldn’t accept the idea of putting an external lens on an iPhone. I just didn’t think it was right. Then I wandered into a local camera store to see my friend Dave Parsons who had a set of ProMaster lenses that included a macro/wide angle combination, a 2x zoom, a fisheye and a circular polarizer. Before I sold off my Canon gear, I never did have a macro lens for it so I had no idea that macro photography could be so interesting. Some of my favourite photos I’ve taken are macros.
Over the years, I’ve acquired a Moment Macro lens and more recently, a Struman Optics Cinematic Macro lens. The Struman lens is my favourite.
